Craighall Den, Ceres

Craighall Den is woodland with a path network throughout including some seating areas. There is also some interpretation at the small car park at the west entrance, just south of Ceres. The site is recognised as a Site of Special Scientific interest (SSSI) due to being one of the largest and best examples of semi-natural woodland in East Fife.

Craighall Den has very much benefited from the enthusiasm and effort of the local community. We have worked in partnership will various groups on a number of projects to tell people about this site while also keeping the woodland safe and enjoyable for all.

While the main route through the woodland is less than 1 mile, there are many other informal routes that can take you along the picturesque burn and passed the limekiln. There is also a circular core path route that will take you from Ceres through the woodland then back again.
