Fife Coast and Countryside Trust, are through our Biodiversity Officer, responsible for the delivery of Fife's Local Biodiversity Action Plan (LBAP).
The role of the Fife LBAP is to help inform and guide action by encouraging co-operative working between statutory, voluntary and local groups, and to actively involve local people in promoting, protecting and enhancing Fife's biodiversity.
The latest edition of the Fife's LBAP was officially launched on 1st August 2009, and will run until the end of 2011. This edition will take a more habitat-centric approach to the conservation of biodiversity in Fife, whilst also addressing the protection and enhancement of key species.
