Works at West Sands 19th - 22nd February

Friday, February 16, 2018
Fife Coast and Countryside Trust and St Andrews Links Trust

Works taking place at West Sands between 19th and 22nd February 2018.

The next phase of the sand dune restoration will include moving hundreds of tons of sand up the beach to infill the Christmas tree crater. The works will also include the construction of small new dunes in front of three access routes. This is to provide a flood barrier between the sea and the road. The works are centred around Low Tide and will involve a large digger and some dumper vehicles.

Please observe local signs and detours. This is vital, sustainable and innovative work and we thank you for your support. If you have any queries regarding this work please contact Ranald Strachan on or 07985 707593.
