An exhibition and demonstration of watercolours by artist Lynette Gray of local wildflowers gathered on Fife’s Coastal Path.
Kinghorn Station Studios & Gallery.
Station Brae, Kinghorn, KY3 9RA
Saturday 23rd June – Saturday 7th July 2012
Open every day except Sunday and Monday, 10am – 5pm
Lynette Gray is probably best known for her watercolours of botanical subjects. For years she has been painting and recording the many wild flowers and fungi of Kinghorn’s stretch of the Coastal Path. The exhibition “Nature’s Beauty” presents some of these private watercolours. The paintings are arranged in calendar order, giving an indication of what may be found flowering in a particular month.
Visitors are welcome to watch and ask questions while Lynette works on a painting of wildflowers. Reference material will also be available for identification of plants.
In November 2011, artist Lynette Gray opened a gallery and studios in Kinghorn’s railway station, the result of a two year renovation project under ScotRail’s Adopt a Station Scheme.
