Fife AC/Wormit Running Group set new Fife Coastal Path relay record

Friday, August 29, 2014
Congratulations to the runners of Fife AC/Wormit Running Group, who set a new record for a continuous 6 man relay round the entire Fife Coastal Path on Saturday 16th of August!

They managed to complete the entire 117 miles from Kincardine to Newburgh in 14 hours and 58 minutes. This beats the record set by the Carnethy Hill Running Club in 2013.

This is only the second recorded attempt but we and the Running Group both suspect there will now be other groups who want to have a go at beating this! It seems that a bit of a precedent has been set as the attempt was run from 'south to north' with 6 people in the team.
You never know, we might even find a bit of a league table developing between the clubs over the next few years!
