I completed an honours degree at Edinburgh University and followed this with a degree in Town and Regional Planning at Heriot Watt University.
After university I took up a role with Fife County Council Council, because of the range of challenges and opportunities Fife offered – economic challenges, accessibility charges, a rich built heritage and a renowned coastline and countryside.
Most of my working life was spent with Fife County, Fife Region and Fife Council with spells in Edinburgh, Dundee and Tayside Regions. When I retired I was approached by Fife Coast and Countryside Trust to become a Board Member.
I have enjoyed my time as a Board Member, with the challenges and the rewards the work has involved. Fife is truly the ‘Outdoor Kingdom’, which for over 12 years has been consistently the most visited in Scotland.
