Back Burn River Restoration – Community Consultation Evening

The Back Burn river restoration project is underway to help restore sections of the watercourse to a more natural condition. This will support thriving wildlife and community wellbeing. Phase 1 of the project was completed at Coul Den in 2025, and phase 2 will take place at Balbirnie Park this summer.

Come along to this community consultation evening to see the designs for phase 2 of the project and to ask your questions. Project managers will share the project’s background, why and where the river restoration activities will take place, and gather your feedback on how the project can support community use of the Back Burn and Balbirnie Park. We will also share an update on the Coul Den site since construction was completed in 2025.

This event is free and open to everyone, but booking a place helps us to plan for the right number of people. The venue is accessible and has a disabled toilet.

If you book places but then can’t attend, please let us know by cancelling your ticket on Eventbrite, or by emailing ask.us@fifecountryside.co.uk or phoning 01592 656080.
If you cancel any tickets which have an associated payment/donation, you will be responsible for paying the Eventbrite administration fee.
