Golden Orchard Planting

This free event is a fantastic opportunity to get your hands dirty and contribute to the community. Kirkcaldy is one of 50 communities across the UK to receive fruit trees to plant as a special Golden Orchard. This orchard will provide a bounty of fruit, food and homes for wildlife in years to come.

Golden Orchards are being planted to celebrate 50 years of The Tree Council. There will be three new Golden Orchards across Fife.

Dunnikier Country Park Development Group and Climate Action Fife are supporting the planting of these fruit trees. We will also be planting some native woodland trees to extend some of the existing woodland areas.

No experience is required, and this is a great way to learn how to plant a tree! This event is linked with the Climate Action Fife Fruit Tree for Every Garden Campaign.

If you book places but then can’t attend, please let us know by cancelling your ticket on Eventbrite, or by emailing ask.us@fifecountryside.co.uk or phoning 01592 656080. Nearer the event we will email all participants with details of the meeting place.

If you cancel your tickets, which have an associated payment/donation, you will be responsible for paying the Eventbrite administration fee.

Please keep an eye on our social media and website for updates, should this event be affected by inclement weather.
