I moved to Fife from Northern Ireland to study at the University of St Andrews and graduated with a degree in Russian Language and Literature in 1985. I then went on to complete my chartered accountancy training with Deloitte in Edinburgh and on qualifying moved to a Fife firm, Paterson Boyd & Co., becoming a principal with the firm in 2002.
I worked in general practice with the firm for over 20 years and had a particular interest in charity accounts and supporting our charity clients. I retired from practice in March 2021 and have since been able to spend more time looking after our horses and pets, trying to improve my gardening and vegetable growing skills and generally enjoying the outdoors from our smallholding in the East Neuk of Fife.
I joined the Board in 2023.
