Local nature reserves (LNRs) can be all sorts of places – woodlands, wetlands, meadows or coastal sand dunes.
They provide wild spaces where plants and animals, both common and rare, can thrive. In particular LNRs also offer unique opportunities to explore or study your local nature, or to simply enjoy a gentle walk.
The Trust manages four LNRs in Fife. We maintain the paths and features throughout these sites and try and help users learn about and enjoy them through interpretation and events.
We are always keen to improve these sites and rely on the enthusiasm and generosity of our volunteers and other supporters to do so.
