This sandy beach with rock pools is located to the east of Burntisland overlooking the Firth of Forth. It is a popular beach, due to its proximity to the great range facilities close by and excellent transport links.
Close by is the Beacon Leisure Centre, which has a 25 metre swimming pool with flumes and a wave machine. Other facilities nearby include a seaside park, crazy golf course, bouncy castles, picnic tables and the annual summer fairground.
As the tide goes out it exposes a huge area of sand and mud flats, which stretch out to the Black Rocks. At an extreme low tide it is possible to walk to Pettycur Beach.
Burntisland has won a Keep Scotland Beautiful 2024 Scotland’s Beach Award. Remember there are many beaches in Fife so if one is a little full why not try another. Our Fringe of Gold leaflet gives details of the beaches we manage and the facilities at each beach.
The are lots of places to enjoy on a visit to Burntisland. Visit Welcome to Fife to find out more.
