I represent the Kirkcaldy North Ward and have lived in Fife for over 40 years. My career was spent as a university senior lecturer until I retired some years ago. Now as a Director of Fife Coast and Countryside Trust I can bring plenty life and work experience and a love of the outdoors to the role.
When not busy with councillor duties I play golf at Kinghorn and Aberdour. There I can appreciate Fife’s beautiful coastline and its flora and fauna. I am also keenly interested in our rich local history, particularly coastal defences during the First World War. I am a longstanding member of both Historic Environment Scotland and the National Trust.
I frequently walk parts of the Fife Coastal Path with both my children and grandchildren and as a Director of FCCT I want to work to ensure our beautiful coastal path remains a global attraction for future generations.
