Dominic Rye

Conservation Officer

After joining FCCT in 2019 I was based initially at West Sands, St Andrews. Now in my role as a Conservation Officer, I continue to be involved with environmental and wildlife conservation, but now across much of Fife encompassing a variety of habitats.  

I work closely with local land managers and stakeholders as well as fantastic volunteers who help with our valuable work. No two days are the same, wildlife surveys, invasive species clearance and liaising with external organisations and the local community are all part of my working week. 

My role sees me involved in the management of the Eden Estuary Local Nature Reserve, an amazing site with several ecological designations.
