Connect, Learn, Thrive – Outdoors
Fife Coast and Countryside Trust offer a vibrant mix of outdoor programmes that support learning, wellbeing, and sustainability. From environmental education and STEM-rich Explore Outdoors sessions to Branching Out, Green Health development, wellness workshops, and school consultations. Our team works with teachers, healthcare professionals, and community partners to help people of all ages connect with nature, build resilience, and explore the world around them. Together, we’re inspiring curiosity and shaping a greener, healthier future for Fife.
We are currently planning our outreach programme for Fife’s communities in 2027. As a result, we are not accepting community engagement requests for the remainder of 2026. We will be able to share our plans with you in 2027.
Branching Out is a tried and tested initiative which was pioneered by Forestry Scotland in 2009. The programme consists of half a day of woodland activities per week, for a duration of 12 weeks, delivered in the woods or greenspaces accessible to communities. It is designed for adults in Fife who are experiencing mental health challenges, social isolation, or simply need a boost. To find out more visit our Branching Out project page.
