The Chair’s Cup

The Chair’s Cup is an annual award made at Fife Coast and Countryside Trust’s Annual General Meeting. It has been inaugurated in 2025 to mark the departure of our Chair, Stephen Carter, OBE.

The winner receives the annual award of £500 and their name engraved on the trophy. Their story will be shared in our newsletters and social media, if the winner agrees.

 

Who can be nominated?

All FCCT staff, volunteers and Board Members.

 

What is it for?

An act (or acts) of service to others [fellow workers or outwith FCCT] that:

•             Is delivered in a manner that is outstanding in its alignment with FCCT’s core values

•             Demonstrates a commitment to delivering FCCT’s Mission & Vision

How do you make a nomination?

Email ask.us@fifecountryside.co.uk or your line manager. In your email, tell us why you are nominating this person.

Explain how you think they have delivered outstanding service in their role. What do they do that matches our core values, mission and vision?

Here are some points to consider when making your nomination.

  • How they are outstanding in their role
  • How they demonstrate FCCT’s core values [inclusive, caring, respectful, proactive, aspirational, knowledgeable]
  • How they deliver our mission ‘Connecting Environment and People’
  • Give examples

 

Who will choose the winner?

Nominees will be considered by the HR & Remuneration Committee, though they won’t know the identity of the nominee.

Your nominations can be accepted at any time of the year.
