Restoration Forth is working to restore oyster reefs and seagrass meadows in the Firth of Forth. This particular coastline, along the tidal area between Burntisland and Pettycur, is host to a seagrass meadow that the project has been putting effort in to improving, with multiple surveys and seagrass sowing and monitoring, with a huge amount of help from volunteers.
In this session we will be looking at the bird species which can be found along this restoration site, with particular focus on species that have a direct relationship with seagrass.
If you have an interest in the seagrass meadows, coastal birdlife, would like a wee bit of training on species identification and survey techniques and to hear more about the Restoration Forth project please come along!
Due to the nature of this activity only those that are over the age of 18 are permitted to attend.
Although we will not be walking far, this activity is unfortunately unsuitable for those with mobility limitations.
