Fife Trees Count: Join the Survey

Ever walked past a tree and wondered what it is or whether it’s thriving? Now you can find out and help protect Fife’s trees in the process.

This is a free, online session for everyone. Complete beginners are welcome.

Find out more about Fife Climate Forest Tree Canopy Survey — a citizen science project building the most detailed picture of Fife’s urban tree cover ever created.

The session will cover how to log your findings via an easy-to-use app and contribute directly to a permanent, publicly accessible map of Fife’s urban canopy.

No experience, training or specialist knowledge needed.

This data is genuinely important. Trees across Fife face growing threats from disease, drought and development, yet professional surveys are costly and rare. Your contributions will help ensure we have the evidence needed to protect and grow Fife’s urban forest for generations to come.

Free to attend. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a lifelong tree enthusiast, a curious newcomer to climate action, or someone who simply enjoys being in nature.

Attendees will receive an email with details of how to join this online session using Microsoft Teams.
