Winter Tree ID and Gaelic in the Glen

Want to learn how to identify trees in the winter and listen to stories about our native trees and how they shape the landscape?

Then come and join Community Tree Planting Assistant Ellie, Friends of Pittencrieff Park and Kirsty Strachan, Community Development Worker (Gaelic) at Fife Council on a tour around ‘The Glen’ to hear indigenous Scots and Gaelic stories, history of the park and learn how to identify native trees in winter.

All are welcome to take part whether you’re a beginner to identifying trees or more experienced. Come and join us to learn some tricks and tips to help you identify tree species.

This informal, fun workshop aims to increase your understanding of local native species and improve your ability to identify them. Children are welcome with an accompanying adult.

We will also provide a warm cup of tea/coffee and biscuits for afterwards to warm up our hands!

If you book places but then can’t attend, please let us know by cancelling your ticket on Eventbrite, or by emailing ask.us@fifecountryside.co.uk or phoning 01592 656080. Nearer the event we will email all participants with details of the meeting place.

If you cancel your tickets, which have an associated payment/donation, you will be responsible for paying the Eventbrite administration fee.
