This is a preserved street of distinctive red roofed houses in Dysart. The name “Pan” derives from the many salt pans that once lay nearby, and “Ha'” is an abbreviation of the Scottish word -haugh-, meaning a flat piece of land. The area was once the home of a thriving salt panning industry.
