Inspired by the Fife Coastal Path artist Philippa Mitchell walked the 117 miles of the Fife Coastal Path, filling her sketchbook as she went with thumb-nail pictures, plein-air studies, notes as she went. After 12 months of walking she created a series of paintings. She approached Fife Coast and Countryside Trust about being an artist in residence for the Fife Coastal Path. This book captures her journey along the path. Many of the paintings in this book were exhibited at the Pittenweem Arts Festival 2023.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will be used to support the work of Fife Coast and Countryside Trust, managing Fife’s open spaces for local residents and visitor from further afield.
