Versatile New Wheels hit the Kingdom’s Roads

Fife Coast and Countryside Trust have begun replacing their ageing fleet of vehicles thanks to Fife Council’s capital replacement programme.

A range of Vauxhall Combo vans and Isuzu Utility pick-ups are now hitting the Kingdom’s roads in the charity’s blue, green and yellow livery. The Trust are an independent, environmental charity who maintain and manage over 70 outdoor sites in the Kingdom. They have a team of around 60 core staff which is boosted by seasonal staff.

Jeremy Harris, CEO, explains: “We need a range of versatile vehicles to effectively carry out our responsibilities across Fife. This includes building and maintaining paths and footbridges, caring for local nature reserves, managing litter and cleaning public toilets and beaches.

Partnership

“It’s important that our hard-working team are equipped with reliable vehicles. However, our fleet is ageing and no longer cost-effective to maintain. Therefore, I’m extremely grateful that Fife Council have agreed to provide us with the use of some new vehicles in support of our work and as an extension to our close working partnership.”

Cllr Linda Erskine, Fife Council’s Communities spokesperson added: “Fife Coast and Countryside Trust play a vital role in protecting and improving Fife’s outdoor spaces. By investing in modern, reliable vehicles through our capital replacement programme, we’re helping ensure that these essential services can continue efficiently across the Kingdom.”
