Autumnal High Tides

Publish Date: Thursday September 19, 2019

The Autumn equinox tides are due and can be quite large. This can lead to issues with passing along some of the Fife Coastal Path where the route heads along beaches and past high tide pinch points.

Please check tides and times for your walk during these periods.

The tides can also narrow beaches substantially and if there is an east wind at the same time can be quite hazardous even on popular beaches.

Please take care, keep an eye on our social media and heed local advice if present.

Predicted Tides:

Sept 28th – Oct 3rd (up to 6.1m on 30th and 1st)

Oct 28th – 31st (up 6.0m on 29th and 30th)
