Fife Coast and Countryside Trust Statement – 17th April

Publish Date: Friday April 17, 2020

You may have noticed that we have not stopped working. While most of our team are staying at home, some are providing essential support to partner agencies.

Access to Fife’s outdoors is of utmost importance to us. Covid-19 has brought with it new things to consider when responsibly accessing the countryside. In particular, to be responsible, we must adhere to our Government’s guidance and not travel outside of our home area to exercise (Government Statement). Limiting the spread will help our NHS and ultimately will save lives.

We are out informing people of these additional responsibilities and checking for health and safety risks as more people are using the countryside. We are taking every precaution to flatten the curve and to not place additional pressure on the NHS and emergency services.

We are grateful for your support in this time and look forward to welcoming you back to the more remote parts of Fife when all this is over.
